Mrs. Braddockasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he will call a conference of local authorities to discuss the formation of a Development Council for Merseyside.
§ Mr. J. EdwardsMy right hon. Friend proposes to invite representatives of the local authorities and Members of Parliament for the constituencies in the Merseyside area to meet him when he is in Liverpool on the 30th April. He will be very pleased on this occasion to discuss various matters concerned with the scheduling of Merseyside as a Development Area, including that to which my hon. Friend refers.
