§ Mr. McAdamasked the Secretary of State for War if he will consider altering the period of voluntary Regular Army service to three years with the Colours and nine years class A reserve.
§ Mr. ShinwellIn order to obtain the necessary balance in the Army, as at present constituted, it is necessary to have terms of service of five years with the Colours and seven years with the Reserve. The conditions of service are kept constantly under review.
