Williamsasked the Minister of Agriculture if he is aware of the cruelties prevailing in the horsemeat trade, due to lack of food and suitable accommodation in railway sidings and slaughter-yards, where large numbers of horses are kept waiting for long intervals before slaughter; and what action he is taking to bring these cruelties to an end.
