§ Sir W. Smithersasked the Minister of Health what is the position of village nurses under the National Health Service Act; whether they are recognised as part of the Scheme; whether compensation will be paid for their houses and motor cars; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. BevanEvery local health authority must provide a home nursing service either by employing nurses themselves or by making arrangements with District Nursing Associations. Such arrangements normally include the purchase of the Association's houses and cars, or payment for their use.
