HC Deb 20 September 1948 vol 456 cc37-8W
Sir E. Graham-Little

asked the Minister of Health if he will inquire into a case, details of which have been submitted to him, of a medical practitioner demobilised from the R.N.V.R. in January, 1946, after 5½ years service, who has obtained an appointment as registrar to the Royal Portsmouth Hospital at a salary which is nearly one-third lower than the salary to which by the Spens Committee recommendations he would be entitled; and when will the promised adjustment be made in accordance with those recommendations.

Mr. Bevan

Salary rates will be adjusted retrospectively to 5th July last as soon as they have been determined in consultation with the profession.
