HC Deb 20 September 1948 vol 456 c17W
77. Mr. Renton

asked the Minister of Food whether he is aware that the Bread Rationing Order, 1948, S.I. 1634/48 which came into operation on 18th July was revoked by the Bread Rationing Revocation Order, 1948, S.I. 1692/48 which came into operation on 25th July; and what was the cost of printing and distributing S.I. 1634/48.

Mr. Strachey

As to the first part of the Question, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave the hon. Member for Sutton Coldfield (Sir J. Mellor) on 28th July. The cost of printing S.I. 1948 No. 1634 was £25, against which can be set the revenue of £16 from sales of copies. This instrument was one of several sent out at the same time so no extra cost for distribution was incurred.
