§ Mr. GaitskellIt would not be in the public interest to disclose details of the changes in the actual consumption of various petroleum products in this country but I can go as far as to say that consumption of refined petroleum products (including paraffin wax and bitumen) in the first six months of 1948 was eight per cent. higher than in the corresponding period of 1947.
