Colonel Dowerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is satisfied with the replies he has received to representations made to the Abyssinian Government regarding the maintenance of order amongst Abyssinian tribes on the northern frontier of Kenya; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Mr. Creech JonesIt has been agreed with the Ethiopian Government that officials from Kenya and Ethiopia should meet to discuss this problem early next month. I am hopeful that this meeting will result in measures for the closer control of the border tribes which will be to the mutual benefit of Kenya and Ethiopia.
