asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer for what reason the representative of the "Chicago Tribune" was excluded from his Press Conference in Washington at the beginning of October; and why the conference was abandoned.

As I stated in Washington, Press reports on this matter were based on a misunderstanding. No such Press Conference was arranged or contemplated; therefore none was abandoned, and nobody was excluded.
