Graham-Littleasked the Minister of Education if he is aware of the inconvenience caused to education departments and lecturers in training colleges, as exemplified in the case submitted to him, by the delay in making known his decision on the salary scales for lecturers in training colleges and departments of education; and if he will now make a statement.
§ Mr. TomlinsonI have approved the recommendations of the Committee on Salaries of Training College Staffs for salary scales to apply with effect from 1st April, 1948. The Committee's report embodying these scales was distributed to local education authorities and governing bodies of non-local education authority training colleges on 22nd April.
