§ Mr. Peter Freemanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how many experiments on living animals were carried out each year since 1934 for the purpose of testing the effects of high explosives; how many were killed on account of such experiments; and how many had to be destroyed afterwards;
(2) what was the total number of experiments on living animals carried out each year at the Experimental Station of the Chemical Research Department at Porton and elsewhere since 1937; what categories of animals were used; and how many in each category were killed on account of the experiments; and how many had to be destroyed afterwards.
