Mr. Baker Whiteasked the Minister of Agriculture what discussions he had with the representatives of the British growers of fruit, flowers and vegetables before entering into a trade agreement with the Netherlands, in order to ensure that the importations of 90W horticultural produce allowed under it will not be to the detriment of British horticulture.
§ Mr. G. BrownProducers were not specifically consulted during these negotiations but I am generally aware of their views and I am satisfied that the importations of horticultural produce allowed under the agreement will not be to the detriment of British horticulture.
