§ 69. Mr. Willisasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether the engine room watchkeeping certificate allowance of 1s. per day, formerly paid to engine room artificers holding such certificate, is continued in respect of the unit certificate under the post-war code of pay.
Mr. DugdaleYes; but the rules for obtaining the certificate have recently been changed a little and one effect of this is that the certificate cannot be obtained and the allowance paid until the artificer is rated 3rd Class.
