§ Mr. H. WilsonNotice to Importers No. 281 was issued following information from responsible members of the trade that there was a serious and growing expenditure of dollars through the solicitation of orders for imports of non essential periodicals. I am considering as a matter of urgency whether any concession is possible in respect of certain classes of periodicals.
