§ 60. Mr. Symondsasked the Minister of Food in which areas milk retailers' associations have refused to allow housewives freedom of choice of milkman; and, roughly, what percentage of the population have been denied the opportunity of changing their registrations.
§ Mr. StracheyMilk retailers' associations in some parts of the country passed resolutions recommending their members to refuse new customers but I do not know how many did so. The recommendation will have been inaffective wherever Co-operative Societies retail milk. I will let my hon. Friend know, as soon as the figures can be collected, how far consumers have availed themselves of permission to re-register for milk.
