§ 112. Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why he is proposing to purchase a private residential property at Woodstock as a N.F.S. headquarters in view of the shortage of living accommodation locally and the existence of a N.F.S. headquarters in Oxford.
§ Mr. EdeThere is no proposal that the property mentioned should be purchased for the N.F.S., but the County Council of Oxfordshire have made application for permission to buy it for their County Fire Brigade and as the residence of their Chief Fire Officer. On the representations so far made to me no grounds have been stated which would justify withholding consent.
