§ Mr. W. EdwardsThere is no reduction in the allocation of steel to the shipbuilding industry. I am not in a position to state how the deliveries of steel to the Wear shipyards in 1948 will compare with the quantities which those shipyards actually received in 1947, and cannot therefore estimate what might be the effect on the numbers of workers for whom employment in the Wear shipyards will be available.
