§ 80. Colonel Stoddart-Scottasked the Minister of Health the total sum of money his Department intend to spend on medical research in the year 1948; and how much will be spent [...] research into the causation, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infantile paralysis.
§ Mr. BevanMedical research is primarily for the Medical Research Council, but my Department's estimates will include a sum to meet expenditure in connection with certain special inquiries. I do not anticipate that this will need to provide separately for inquiries into infantile paralysis additional to those already in progress.
