§ 35. Mr. A. Edward Daviesasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will now make a statement on the arrangements which are being made for parents to visit the graves of ex-Service men buried overseas.
§ Mr. ShinwellAs my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State indicated in reply to a Question by the hon. Member for Solihull (Mr. M. Lindsay) on 27th January, there are now no restrictions on visits to war graves in any countries in North-West Europe except Germany. As regards the scheme previously mentioned as under consideration for providing limited financial assistance from public 311W funds for visits by near relatives in necessitous cases, I regret that I am not yet in a position to make a statement.
