§ Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what restrictions exist on exports from East Africa to the 271W Belgian Congo, for payment in Belgian francs.
§ Mr. Rees-WilliamsThere are no restrictions in Colonial territories in East Africa on exports to the Belgian Congo of local commodities which are surplus to local requirements. All such exports have to be paid for within six months in sterling or East African currency from a Belgian account or in Belgian or Congolese francs.
