§ 80. Mr. F. Macleanasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the total number of officials at present authorised to carry out inspections and investigations in private houses and premises without a search warrant.
§ Mr. Glenvil HallA list of the categories of officials so authorised was given in reply to a question by the hon. Member for Orpington (Sir W. Smithers) on 11th March, 1947. The present total corresponding to that of 10,916 then given is 9,560.
