asked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that cloth which was offered for sale at 6s. 11d. a yard, but which British tailors were not permitted to purchase, was sold in Italy, and then re-imported under an import licence, and the English tailors then had to pay 16s. 6d. a yard for the identical material; and if he will take steps to prevent this happening again.206W
