§ Mr. Nallyasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning whether he is able to announce the date of the Appointed Day under the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947.
§ Mr. SilkinYes. The Appointed Day will be 1st July, 1948. The Secretary of State for Scotland and I have just made Orders to that effect. I had perhaps better make it clear that the Central Land Board is not yet in a position to deal with correspondence or inquiries. The Secretary of State and I will arrange for a public announcement to be made when the Board opens for business.
