§ Mr. T. WilliamsBy an Order in Council made under the Supplies and Services (Transitional Powers) Act, 1945, land requisitioned for allotments may be held until December, 1950. I have urged local authorities to retain such land, but it is sometimes necessary in the national interest to release wartime sites for approved development, mainly housing.
