§ Mr. Rees-WilliamsDetails of Jewish and Arab casualties in Palestine during November last are not immediately available. From the 30th November, 1947, to 1st February, 1948, the reported casualties were:
Arabs: Killed 427 Wounded 1035 Jews: Killed 381 Wounded 725 It is not possible to say how many of these casualties were due to military action, but it is known that the proportion is quite small. With regard to the second part of the Question, 56 British subjects were killed and 181 were wounded during the period from 1st November to 1st February, 1948.
