§ 63. Mr. Stubbsasked the Minister of Food if he is aware that displaced persons living in hostels or near canteens are getting 3s. 7d. worth of meat a week, against farm workers' 1s. worth; that occupants of a Polish Camp at Fowlmere, Cambridgeshire, are receiving in the region of double the ordinary ration; and if he will put an end to this discrimination.
§ Mr. StracheyI repeat that displaced persons receive exactly the same rations as British people living and working under similar conditions. The civilian occupants of the Polish camp at Fowlmere receive 14 oz. meat a week, roughly the same as the 1s. a week meat ration of the ordinary civilian.
