HC Deb 26 April 1948 vol 450 c3W
25. Mr. Peter Freeman

asked the Minister of Supply what is the basis of priority by which motor-car dealers allocate commercial vehicles after the demands of the coal, food and building industries have been satisfied; what evidence he has that this is being carried out; what consideration is given to other essential users; and whether in order of priority of application.

Mr. G. R. Strauss

There is no priority in the distribution of commercial vehicles for the coal, food and building industries. The motor industry is paying equal attention to the requirements of all essential industries.
