§ 41. Mr. Donnerasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the once for all levy on investment income is to apply to such cases where, as a result of difficult business conditions during the war, arrears of preference dividends were only paid in 1947–48; or whether such arrears of preference dividends shall be deemed to be outside the scope of the levy, this latter applying only to the preference dividends for the year 1947–48.
