HC Deb 13 April 1948 vol 449 c54W
Mr. Hollis

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that a New Zealand Camp near Cheverill, Wiltshire, has not been used by the Army for the last two and a half years and that there appears to be no prospect of it being used again; and whether he will give instructions that material there which is urgently needed for civilian housing be disposed of for that purpose.

Mr. Shinwell

The huts referred to have not been used for some time, but arrangements are now in hand to restore them for use as living quarters for a party of Service officers and other ranks who will be employed there in connection with range exercises.
