asked the Minister of Labour for how many ex-officers of the Burma Government employment has been found through his offices and for how many he is still trying to find employment; and in each case if he will give the numbers of those with technical or scientific qualifications.

My right hon. Friend, the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations has accepted primary responsibility for the resettlement of these ex-officers and has set up a "Re-employment Branch" which has been the channel for placing a number of them in posts in the Home Civil Service and the Foreign and Colonial Services.
