HC Deb 28 October 1947 vol 443 c65W
126. Mr. Palmer

asked the Minister of Education if he will consider amending the Teachers Superannuation Act, 1925, to allow pensioned teachers to take up other public employment, without remuneration from such employment reducing the amount of their pension.

Mr. Tomlinson

No. In any event no reduction in pension is made unless pension and salary from public funds taken together exceed the salary which the teacher was receiving at the time when he retired.
