HC Deb 27 November 1947 vol 444 c313W
Mr. Sylvester

asked the President of shortage of saucers, small plates, and the Board of Trade if he is aware of the buckets in the mining towns within the Normanton Parliamentary Division; and will he take steps to remedy this.

Mr. H. Wilson

I am aware of the shortage of crockery and buckets in the Normanton area. Further investigations will be made, however, and if the level of supplies is substantially worse than the average, I will try to arrange for special consignments to be sent. The shortage is general and I am doing all I can to help manufacturers to produce more so far as the raw material and labour positions allow.
