§ Mr. Digbyasked the Minister of Health if he has considered a communication from the Bridport Town Council, protesting against the instructions recently issued to local authorities to confine the provision of new houses to miners and agricultural workers; and, having regard to the large number of applications received by the Council from people at present living in deplorably overcrowded conditions, what action he proposes to take.
§ Mr. BevanYes. The circular referred to, of which I am sending the hon. Member a copy, does not confine the provision of new houses to miners and agricultural workers; the housing proposals of the Town Council are under consideration in accordance with the principles stated in the circular.
