HC Deb 26 November 1947 vol 444 cc284-5W
78. Mr. Swingler

asked the Minister of Food what are the reasons for the breakdown in supplies of dried milk for priority consumers to food offices in the Midlands; and what immediate steps are being taken to hasten distribution.

Mr. Strachey

Stafford food office was out of stock of national dried milk for five days, but supplies were sent there on 17th November. I am not aware of any other food office in the Midlands being without stock, but if the hon. Gentleman will send me fuller particulars I shall be glad to have further inquiries made.
