HC Deb 24 November 1947 vol 444 c252W
104. Mr. Dodds - Parker

asked the Minister of Transport how much has been spent on the reconstruction of the road between Woodstock and Oxford; and how much it is proposed to spend in completing the work.

Mr. Callaghan

£23,100 has been paid from the Road Fund in respect of this improvement since its resumption in 1946, and a further £33,550 is scheduled for payment before the end of the month; but there tends to be a lag between value of work done and payments made. The balance of payments required for completion of the scheme is estimated at £110,000.
