§ 69. Mr. Gammansasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will take the opportunity afforded by Mr. Molotov's presence in London to raise with him the question of the continued detention by the Soviet Government of Russian-born wives and children of British ex-Service men.
§ Mr. MayhewThe Soviet replies to our many approaches have all been negative and discouraging; and my right hon. Friend is doubtful whether any further approach would be likely to succeed. If, however, any special new opportunity occurs for raising this question he is always ready to take advantage of it.
