HC Deb 11 November 1947 vol 444 c62W
103. Sir W. Smithers

asked the Minister of Transport to state in broad categories the quantity of goods in Great Britain which are awaiting export; what proportion of them are stored in the open air; what is the reason for this accumulation; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Callaghan

No statistics are available of goods awaiting shipment but in general there are sufficient shipping opportunities for our exports.
