Mr. P. Noel-Baker

asked the Secretary of State for War what was the assessment made by the medical board of the disability attributable to service in the Army of Mr. John J. May, of 27 Dewsbury Crescent, Chiswick, W.4, and to what pension or gratuity he is now entitled.

Mr. Shinwell

The assessment of disability is 5 per cent., and a gratuity of £30 has been awarded;

Mr. Charles Smith

asked the Secretary of State for War when Mr. A. G. Palmer, of 31 Golden Noble Hill, Colchester, formerly employed by D.C.R.E., Colchester, may expect to receive his gratuity in respect of his service of which particulars were submitted to the War Office in; August.

Mr. Shinwell

Mr. Palmer received his gratuity on 6th November.
