Mr. Braddockasked the Minister of Health why it was suggested in the Bulletin issued by the Ministry that in the recent smallpox outbreaks no case occurred in a person vaccinated within 10 years, when extracts from the smallpox registers showed that cases occurred 12 or more days after vaccination and that one fatal case was twice vaccinated, the first time unsuccessfully, before smallpox developed.
§ Mr. BevanThe article mentioned clearly referred to the vaccinal state at the conjectured date of smallpox infection. The cases cited by my hon. Friend were vaccinated during the incubation period following that date.
