§ Sir W. Smithersasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning what difference the restrictions on building regulations will make to the development of the Stevenage satellite town.
§ Mr. SilkinI would refer the hon. Member to the statement made by my right hon. and learned Friend the Minister for Economic Affairs on 23rd October, that work on the New Towns during the coming year would in general be limited to the provision of basic services. This means that while the development of Stevenage as a New Town will continue, constructional work will in general be limited to the provision of water and sewerage services and of roads.
