HC Deb 03 November 1947 vol 443 c139W
12. Lieut.-Colonel Corbett

asked the Minister of Food how much poultry from Europe he is now buying or will buy during the winter; and from what countries.

Dr. Summerskill

We have arranged for the purchase of 1,500 tons of turkeys and 3,150 tons of other poultry from Hungary. Further quantities may be obtained from other countries with whom trade talks are now going on.
