(a) In one case in which an officer of an existing undertaking was in receipt of a higher salary he will continue to receive the higher amount. (b) In three cases in which officers of the London Passenger Transport Board were in receipt of higher salaries they will continue to receive the higher amount. (c) The salaries of the three members of the London Transport Executive who are members of the London Passenger Transport Board will be abated by the, remuneration received by them in respect of membership of the Board so long as that continues. (Expenses allowances to members of the Executes have not yet been fixed.

The persons appointed were selected, as required by the Act, from among persons who have had wide experience and shown capacity in transport, industrial, commercial or financial matters, in administration or in the organisation of workers.
