§ Mr. P. Noel-BakerThe main purpose of this Order was to make officers in the W.A.A.F. full members of the officers' messes in the R.A.F. It is a rule that, on official guest nights, officers in the R.A.F. shall not invite ladies to their mess; in accordance with this rule, it has been decided that officers in the W.A.A.F. may only invite officers of their own or of the other Women's Services.
