§ Mr. J. Morrisonasked the Minister of Agriculture if he is satisfied that the veterinary staff is adequate in research stations to investigate suspected cases of poultry pest properly; and what steps he is taking to improve the position.
§ Mr. T. WilliamsYes, Sir; but I am satisfied that in the majority of cases there is now no necessity to send carcases to research stations for examination. I am accordingly making arrangements for suspected outbreaks of fowl pest to be investigated by veterinary inspectors stationed in the area.
