§ 14. Sir G. Foxasked the Secretary of State for War the number of Servicemen who, owing to a mistake, have been demobilised twice and received two suits; and who pays the extra cost.
§ Mr. J. FreemanThe exact number of cases in which this has occurred is not known and could not be ascertained without a disproportionate amount of work. The circumstances in which it is possible for a mistake of this kind to be made, however, are extremely rare, and the num-126W ber must be negligible. Where any such case comes to light the man is asked to pay for the extra suit and usually does so.
