§ 101. Mr. G. Williamsasked the President of the Board of Trade why the supply of mending wool has decreased in Southern England; and what steps he is taking to facilitate the repair of woollen garments.
§ Mr. WilsonSupplies of mending wool have decreased because of the loss of production during the fuel crisis, but I have no information to suggest that the shortage is worse in Southern England than elsewhere. The worsted spinners, who produce this wool, have been given preference in fuel supply, and I hope that deliveries will improve in the coming months.
