§ Brigadier Mackesonasked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury what sums of money per head of the population of the United Kingdom between the ages of 20 and 60 years were expended on information divisions of Government Departments in this country, including the Central Office of Information, in 1946; and how this sum compares with expenditure per head of the population between the ages of 20 and 60 years on similar Government publicity in 1938.
