§ 129. Mr. Dodds-Parkerasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many natives will have to be moved from their homes on account of the groundnut schemes in Tanganyika; and what are the terms of compensation.
Mr. Creech JonesThe areas to be developed in Tanganyika have not yet been surveyed in sufficient detail to enable me to state the number of Africans likely to have to be moved from their homes, but the number will be small. The terms of compensation will be settled by officers of the Tanganyika Government in accordance with local practice, and the circumstances of each case.
