§ Mr. Wilkesasked the Minister of Food whether he is aware that because of infirmity many old age pensioners are unable to stand in queues or go far field to shop for unrationed foodstuffs; and whether he will therefore consider granting to old age pensioners living alone some increase in the fats and sugar rations.
§ Mr. StracheyI fully appreciate the difficulties experienced by the old and infirm, but I regret that it would not be 63W possible to vary the rations according to the size of the household, in order to give more to those who live alone.
