§ 92. Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for War if he will sympathetically reconsider the present disciplinary regulations regarding fraternisation by prisoners of war in this country, with a view to securing that undue publicity and excessive punishment shall be avoided and other means be pursued to secure restraints where these are necessary.
§ Mr. BellengerMost careful consideration was given to these disciplinary regulations before their introduction, and I do not regard them as unduly severe Although sensational publicity in connecton with these cases is to be deprecated, my hon. Friend will no doubt agree that it would not be desirable to attempt to exclude the public or the Press from trials by military courts.
